Week 1 Update:  Greta is a great mother and is taking care of her puppies.  They are all nursing great and gaining weight.  Colors on this litter are absolutely amazing.  Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) started at 3 days old.  They all seem to be doing well with ENS and have been very calm.  Eyes are still closed.  Hopefully they will be open for pictures next week.   Puppies are scooting around on their bellies and have not tried standing yet.  Next week I witll contact each person on the list to find out which puppy you choose.

Week 2 Update:  Puppies are starting to open their eyes this week.  I was able to get a few pictures with their eyes open.  They continue to nurse well and are gaining weight each day.  Only a few days left of ENS.  I am impressed with how calm these puppies are with ENS.   Usually there are a few that stand out as very calm while doing ENS.  With this litter, every one is very calm!  Today the puppies received their 2 week dose of Pyrantel dewormer and they all did well taking it.  They are starting to scoot around a bit more.  I saw my first puppy  that looked like It was trying to stand today.  Still pretty wobbly though.  It won't be long before they are all trying to stand and start to play more.

Week 3 Update:  Puppies are walking around and getting around much better.  They are even starting to play much more this week.  They figured out how to get out of the small whelping pools so they transitioned to the large whelping box this week and potty training has started.   Mom is doing a great job nursing the puppies and they are all gaining weight appropriately.

Week 4 Update:  Puppies have been active and playing a lot.  They are starting to be a bit vocal when they are playing.  It is so fun to watch.  They got their nails trimmed this week for the first time.  They all did well and were very cooperative.  They got their 4 week dewormer.  It went much better than the last time.  They got to play outside in the yard this week. Also we had some families visiting the puppies so they were really tired when we went back into the house.  Their baby teeth are starting to come in so it won't be long before those little needle like teeth  are here.

Week 5 Update:  Puppies had their first bath this week.  They all did great.  They were even wagging their tail when they were getting dried off with  the dryer.  I have had that happen a couple times over the years but this is the first time every single puppy was wagging their tail when they were getting dried off.  Amazing!  It is time to prepare for pick up.  Make sure you order your Nu Vet Supplements.  I recommend the NuVet Plus K9 Wafers and the NuJoint Plus Tablets.  Website address is: https://www.nuvetlabs.com/order_new2/products.asp and the code is 118818.

Week 6 Update:  Puppies are doing well with potty training.  They have been pretty consistently going outside to poop.  This week we will start to cut down on the artificial turf so they start urinating outside more.  Overall though, they are doing extremely well.  Tonight they got their first of three consecutive days of Fenbendazole dewormer.  Sound desensitizing has been going well.  This week the fireworks went off since it was Kornfest weekend.  The sounds did not even phase the puppies.

Week 7 Update:  Puppies are almost ready to go home.  This week they saw the vet for their first health check.  The vet said they are all doing great.  They also got their fist set of shots and temperment testing was done today.  Potty training has been great this week.   I downsized the grass in the kennel this week.  There is only a small piece or artificial turf in the indoor kennel. They are only pooping outside in the grass.   They appear to be urinating outside since the pad does not appear to have been used much and there have not been any puddles/accidents  in the inside kennel.   Next week is pick up date.   Make sure you have your day and time scheduled.
